Wow
The Rep Club was designed with online community in mind, boosting a digital training environment as a service.

Club and community

The Rep Club is a small fitness club in Utrecht. I designed and built the website from their new identity: black, white and a hard lime green, with photography from the studio.

The manager had been a client before. I had already made them a subscription business for fitness videos. For The Rep Club I took that idea onto the club floor and turned it into a member environment with programmes, progress and a bit of game in it.

A site with a punch

The public site had to feel like the room: small, sharp and a little loud. Personal training, group sessions and boxing sit next to a free trial and the usual club facts, without looking like a big-box gym brochure.

Copy and layout do a lot of the work. Short lines, big type.

Package pages

Most members come for personal training, so that page had to sell the sessions as clearly as the coaching. I laid out 10, 20 and 40 session packs with price, what’s included and a way to start, then stacked reasons and reviews underneath so the page could close the booking on its own.

The club is small on purpose. The site keeps saying that: one trainer, a quiet room, no crowd. The design just has to stay out of the way of that promise.

Training as a service

Once you are a member, the same identity wraps a training home. Weekly goals, XP, recommended programmes and a leaderboard sit on a lime welcome block so progress is the first thing you see.

That member layer came from the earlier video-subscription work. Here it became a simple training desk for the club: pick a programme, see where you left off, come back next week. The website and the service are the same product.
